Motherhood

Tried to portray two different roles in motherhood. I’m not a poet, Please pardon the mistakes.

They call me a bad mother Because I feed myself before my child eats. No matter, whether it gives me all strength that I need to feed him well.

Yes, I am a bad mother as I don’t insist on my child to eat more, It keeps him healthy though.

Neither I give my child rest Even allow him cleaning stuff Adds no value, though he’s being self-dependent. Yes, I am a bad mother since I don’t push him to study all day and night. What goes? if he enjoys doing social stuff.

I never hold him tight, don’t teach to give up, I see him falling down and then see him being careful next time. And you know what? I am proud of being such a bad mother And I’m sure my child would be a “human” one day!, not a living scarecrow!

New town, new home, new promise…. life is not a race, rather a learning process, Have a cup of tea, forget all the mess. Well, easy to say, can anyone show the way?

To find out the shining star from the cloudy sky? Yes, motherhood is the answer. Mothers can risk to forget, forgive and to fly.

Only Mothers can forget those painful days They used to be humiliated by near and dear ones. But they never hesitate to greet those very people with a big big hug keeping a cute smile in the face.

Neither they deny leaving the town, mates and comforts. It doesn’t mean they don’t care. Rather, they get hurt, cry and be lost. Again they move on, on and on.

Do you know why they do so? Cause they don’t wanna risk a child’s life, Future and happiness. Could you remember these things in their old ages? They don’t need much, mere few minutes from your busy hectic life.

Trust me, they don’t even mind if you forget to buy medicines on time. They just crave for your tight warm hug.

They were alone when fought against the world, And now, they are very lonely, no one to have a chat. Surely it’s so irritating hearing all the silly old talks.

But not more than cleaning all the mess you used to make during the childhood. There is a few difference between your children and mothers. Children cry out to get attention and mothers hide their tears! #Syeda_Anjuman_Ara_Sharmin
